About Us

Relay Academic Preparatory Therapeutic Day School is a therapeutic day program for Grades 5–12, set to open in the Chicago south suburbs in Spring/Summer 2026. Co-Founded by Dr. G. Diane Walters, the school offers structured academic instruction, behavioral supports, and IEP-aligned services. Relay is designed to partner with school districts, providing outcomes-focused therapeutic placements for students with needs that cannot be met in traditional settings. Key features include a maximum of 10 students per classroom, certified special education staff, and on-site LCSW support. Relay focuses on transitioning students into the community and collaborates with school districts to align therapeutic placements with student needs.
